Cat Island: Live And Work On An Amazing Greek Island With 55 Cats!

A cat rescue organization in Greece has put out a paid job offer to anyone willing to live on a cat island and take care of 55 cats!

Can you imagine yourself living alone in an island, surrounded by cats? For some, living on a cat island might not be their idea of fun. But for serious cat lovers, it’s absolutely a dream come true.

And serious cat lovers are exactly what God’s Little People Cat Rescue is looking for!

The organization put up a job posting on Facebook, about “A very special position and living circumstance on offer on a little Greek island called Syros.”

And what’s the job description? It’s pretty simple. Just live on the island and take care of the 55 cats living there!

On their job posting, the organization writes, “I am looking for someone who can take over the daily running of my Greek cat sanctuary in my absence. You will have 55 cats in your care and need to be able to overview them all + feed and medicate.”

They add that it’s a fully paid position, but it’s only a part time job (roughly 4 hours a day).

The pay is about 500 euro, or S$798, which is a bit on the low side. However, considering that the house along with water and electricity is free, it seems like a pretty good deal. Plus, you get to have an amazing island that you can explore. Along with the 55 cats of course.

The job is still available

So far, it seems that no one has been hired to fill the position of caretaker for the cat island. However, a lot of people have expressed their interest, and we’re hoping that someone really passionate about cats gets the position.

It might not be the highest paying job in the world, but if caring for animals is your passion, and you love being with nature and animals, then it’s a dream job!
